For this project, I worked with a major healthcare insurance provider and hospital network to assess the feasibility of moving their legacy on-premise systems to the cloud. As a Solutions Practitioner, I led the interview and discovery process with key stakeholders to understand existing infrastructure, identify pain points, and surface long-term goals.
Our final recommendation was a migration to a cloud-based architecture, which would improve security, reduce system disruptions, increase accessibility, and deliver significant cost savings over time.
That said, the process wasn’t without resistance. Many stakeholders were hesitant to move away from the familiar legacy systems, concerned about perceived risks, transition complexity, and cost of change. Navigating this pushback required thoughtful communication, stakeholder alignment, and clearly articulating the long-term value of cloud migration—not just in technical terms, but in terms of business impact and patient outcomes.
The project ultimately laid the foundation for a more resilient and future-proof digital infrastructure in a high-stakes industry.
